This holiday season is like no other that I can remember over the last 20 years when it comes to travel.  When we receive inquiries about airfare and we learn that the customer is expecting to pay $300 to travel coast to coast between Christmas and New Years, we smile.
 
We find many potential customers who hear our quotes and our alternate recommendations and they tell us, "Thank you very much."  We understand they are going to try the Internet, and that is great to keep us on our toes.  But what many travel professionals do now is to quote the fare to shoppers,  reserving the actual flight when they arrive into the office to purchase the ticket.  Reserving the actual flights prior to arrival of the client is reserved only for regular customers only.
