Inglewood Mayor Roosevelt DornInglewood Mayor Roosevelt Dorn pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor conflict-of-interest charge and has resigned his position.

As part of a plea agreement, the 74-year-old Dorn will be barred from holding public office for the rest of his life. He submitted his resignation as mayor Sunday night, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Dorn's guilty plea came just as jury selection was about to begin in his trial on charges stemming from his acceptance of a $500,000 loan through a city housing program. He was immediately sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.

dental records indicate she
has been dead for at least
6 months. The skull and
bones were discovered about
6 miles from the Malibu-Lost
Hills Sheriff’s station.

Waters Vows to Fight Charges Rep. Maxine Waters

fight charges of ethics

a plea bargain. The 35th District

Sept. 2008.
Is Dunlap Turning Her Back on Loyal Constituents?   No Campaigning During August Election   Mayor Pro Tem Dunlap facilitated the Tuesday, July 27, 2010 meeting. As was also the case last week extra chairs were wheeled into the chambers to accommodate the standing room crowd, much like last week. This could be a sign of more residents becoming involved in the continuous fluctuating political scene of Inglewood.
