California Schools Lose Out on Grants Unions Boycott Times
Underperforming teachers, backed by a reticent teacher’s union, may have cost the state as much as $700 million in school funding, according to the L.A. Times. In line to receive its share of a $3.4 billion competitive grant, the state fell short in its bid for the federally funded “Race to the Top.”
