American Cancer Society’s ‘Relay for Life
Join Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas at 9 a.m. for the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life of Baldwin Hills 2009,” a fun-filled and unique 24-hour event to increase cancer awareness, while raising much-needed funds for the American Cancer Society’s programs and services. Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, the event chairperson, invites residents to join his team or any of the other teams who raise funds prior to the Relay For Life event.  Team members will take turns walking or running around a track, relay-style, while enjoying fun activities and entertainment off the track.  The location is the little league baseball field, 5401 S.
