“Modern and urban with bohemian, Art Deco influences”

Palisociety hotel group announced today that its Palihotel Culver City is now open.

For the brand’s fourth Los Angeles hotel, it refurbished an existing 49-room hotel that sits right behind the city’s ArcLight Theater, which is a short jaunt from the Expo Line.

The property opened as the West End Hotel in the 1920s. It was rumored to be the first LA residence of Joan Crawford.

The Art Deco-style exterior of the hotel was restored and its interiors were renovated to reflect “modern and urban with bohemian, art-deco influences.” The rooms feature jewel tones in blue and green with stripe, plaid, and floral patterns.

Some rooms feature French doors that open onto a courtyard and features views of the hotel’s interior courtyard garden. Rates run from about $295 per night.

The project, developed by the Grifka Group, also holds a bar and French bistro-style restaurant called Simonette.

Palisociety plans to open another outlet in Westwood Village within the next year.
